Welder Certification – More and more fabricators, manufacturers and maintenance departments are recognizing the need to have qualified welders through welder certification. Any product that is fabricated or repaired which presents a liability if it fails will require a qualified welder. Otherwise you are setting yourself up for legal issues. Welder certification is the documentation of the qualifications of a welding operator via performance testing to a specific welding code and weld procedures.

First, it provides liability protection for the fabricator, and second, it causes the operator to understand weld quality in light of specific weld procedures and code requirements.
